Work with a certified gut microbiome clinician & clinical Nutritionist

At Flourish Nutrition, I work with people experiencing a wide range of gut health concerns; from IBS, SIBO and bloating to food intolerances, dysbiosis and post-antibiotic recovery. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all protocol, I take time to understand your symptom history, diet, lifestyle and any relevant test results to build a picture of what's actually driving your symptoms.

My approach is evidence-based and practical. I use targeted nutrition strategies, functional testing where appropriate, and specific dietary interventions to support your gut microbiome, reduce inflammation and restore digestive function, in a way that works with your real life, not against it.

Emily's Approach

Hi, I'm Emily, a Clinical Nutritionist with a special interest in gut health and the microbiome. I'm a certified microbiome clinician, and I work with clients to identify the underlying drivers of their digestive symptoms rather than simply managing them.

My approach always starts with a thorough clinical assessment. I look at your full health history, current symptoms, dietary patterns and lifestyle before making any recommendations. Where appropriate, I use functional testing, including microbiome analysis, SIBO breath testing and comprehensive stool testing, to get a clearer picture of what's happening internally.

From there, I develop a personalised nutrition plan that is specific to your needs, your symptoms and your goals. I don't believe in overly restrictive protocols or unnecessary supplementation. My aim is to help you build a sustainable relationship with food that supports long-term gut health, not just short-term symptom relief.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can nutrition help with gut health conditions?

Yes. Nutrition plays a central role in gut function. Research consistently shows that dietary changes can significantly improve symptoms of IBS, SIBO, dysbiosis and other gut conditions. A clinical nutritionist can help you identify the most evidence-based approach for your specific situation.

How many appointments will I need?

This depends on the complexity of your case. Most clients benefit from an initial consultation followed by two to four follow-up appointments over the first three to six months. I'll give you a clearer idea of what to expect after our first session.

Do you offer online consultations?

Yes. I offer both in-person consultations in Sydney (Mona Vale and Freshwater) and online appointments via telehealth, so you can access support no matter where you're located.

Is Flourish Nutrition covered by private health insurance?

Yes. Flourish Nutrition is recognised by a number of private health funds including NIB, Medibank and AHM (through ARHG). Rebates vary depending on your level of cover, so I recommend checking with your fund prior to your appointment.
